Diana Welcomes New County Legislator
Goshen- County Executive Edward A. Diana welcomed Greg Townsend as the new Legislator for the 7th District during a brief swearing in ceremony today at the Orange County Clerks Office.
“It is an honor to welcome Greg to County Government and I know that he will serve the people of the 7th Legislative District with distinction,” Diana said. “Moreover, his experience and strong understanding of municipal issues will allow him to hit the ground running.”
“I am humbled by this opportunity to serve the people of Monroe and I will work hard to uphold the tradition of excellence set by my predecessor Mr. McLaughlin,” said Legislator Townsend
Mr. Townsend is filling the vacancy created by the untimely passing of long time Legislator Spencer McLaughlin.
